Walking

Welcome to our walking page. The Lake District offers a variety of walks to suit the abilities of visitors and it is sometimes difficult to ascertain which ones are suitable for children. Here are a few of our favourites which we regularly walk with our family:

  • Easdale Tarn (Grasmere),
  • Wray Castle,
  • Coniston water (around the head to Brantwood, then return by launch),
  • Brantfell (Bowness),
  • Rydal cave and stepping stones,
  • Stockghyll Force (Ambleside),
  • Elterwater/Skelwith Bridge.
